While I'm in a fanficcy mood, I decided to go ahead and check off one of the items on my 'to-do' list: fanfiction recommendations.

Here's my first Fanfiction Recommendation of the Week (02/24/06):

Tales From the House of the Moon by Resmiranda

Kagome, now in college, discovers the tale of Sesshomaru and Rin. Grief can be a prison, but the bonds of love are not easily broken. What is the truth behind fairytales? [SessKag] [COMPLETE]

If ever there were an author that should be nominated as Fanfiction God(dess) of the Year, Resmiranda is that someone. Her writing is beautiful beyond words, and Tales From the House of the Moon (imho) should be added to the anime as the real ending, despite the fact that the pairing isn't cannon.

HotM is the story of the beautifully intricate romance between Kagome Higurashi and the sinfully hot *pants* Sesshoumaru.

Now, before anyone runs screaming from this pairing, at least give the first chapter a chance. This isn't one of those 'Inuyasha-Hates-Me-So-I'll-Go-Angst-Over-Him-And-Somehow-Seduce-His-Brother-Even-Though-I'm-Still-Clinging-To-Inuyasha's-Memory' story. The story begins when Kagome, now a college student, discovers the ancient story of the Lord of the West and is drawn back through time once more.

The thing that stands out to me about this story is Resmiranda's amazing ability to get into Kagome's and Sesshoumaru's heads and write plausible, entertaining mental dialogue. This story had me laughing my ass off one moment, then scrabbling frantically for tissues the next. Epic in size, HotM will give you plenty of reading material, and now that it's complete, it won't leave you hanging either.

Man, I just love it when weird crap like this happens.

You know, before I started my Livejournal page, I suspected that I already had a weblog somewhere, and lo, I was right. I had just forgotten which site it was on (behold the awesome power of pre-altzeimers at its best).

Now shall begin an in-depth testing period to discover which site I like better and will therefore devote my attention to.

Oooh, idea: this can be my fanfiction info site and livejournal can be my bitching about life site. How does that sound?

Hm. I'll think about it and get it sorted out this weekend.

Well, I'm back again. Wow. *waves small flag bearing the letters KS* Go me.

I've pretty much made up my mind about the fanfiction problem. I can't think of any good way to update Mission X currently, so I guess that I'll just post up a different story (or maybe a couple new ones) and work on them for awhile. Sooner or later I know I'll get tired of them and go back to Mission X --Believe me, I know how my Inner Author works; she's a finicky little b****, but once you know her quirks, you get along pretty well.

The stories I'm contemplating include an Inuyasha/Harry Potter crossover (yes, overdone, I know) but with NO Inuyasha or Kagome appearing anywhere during the story; it's about Sesshoumaru in the future (I'd tell you his connection to the Wizarding community, but that would be telling. Sore wa himitsu desu!).

The other story is a YYH romance fic (Toushin Yuusuke x Keiko's reincarnation). Pretty angsty, but with action and suspense to spice it up, as well as just a dash of revenge to give it some flavor. That'sa spicy a-meatball!

I am awaiting a verdict from my author-buddy Miseki-chan on which I should work on. I'll be sure to let ya'll know what she says, ne?

Well, here I am, after I swore to never get involved in webjournals. Just goes to show what a willful, determined person I am, ne?

This page probably wouldn't even exist if I didn't have a cold, but since there's very little for me to do when I feel like my head is being used to test the new Super-Duty-Nutcracker-Xtreme, I decided to take it easy and browse the net. Thus, I came upon this page, and thus began my foray into the world of webjournals.

*looks around curiously* Not bad at all, really. Now if only I could figure out that weird 'blogring' stuff, I'll be set. I'm more of an IM girl myself, though it's been forever since I've been on. Too lazy, y'see.

Well, anyone reading this might recognize my name, at least. Kurome Shiretsu, infamous on both fanfiction.net and mediaminer.org as She-Who-Will-Not-Update-No-Matter-What-Threats-We-Might-Conjure-To-Encourage-Her-To-Do-So.

It's not that I don't WANT to update! It's just that there are so many OTHER good stories rattling around in my head that I can't concentrate! So far I have planned out a Fushigi Yuugi/Yuu Yuu Hakusho crossover, a Yuu Yuu Hakusho romance/reincarnation fic, a UNIQUE Harry Potter/Inuyasha crossover, a Slayers/Harry Potter crossover, a Case Closed/Lupin III crossover, and to top it all off, a Transformers Armada and a Transformers Energon fic!

*pants*

I would love to post the beginning chapters of those other fics, but I'm afraid I'll be flayed alive by Mission X reviewers! See my dilemma? Oi, I have a headache . . .

I think that I'll just bite the bullet and start posting those other stories. I mean, if I have lots of stories up, then I'm sure to update SOMETHING, right?

Right?

*groans* I need Tylenol . . .
